If you are concerned about wearing plastic all the time, cotton is a great alternative. Its breathable and soft!

Our cotton knit has more body then alot of the polyester knits. It doesn’t feel heavy though and it wears very well.

One of the first dresses I made is still in our rotation and has been worn at home from the beginning. My girls are not easy on their clothes so I was quite impressed. I made a polyester rib knit recently for church. It hadn’t been worn it for more then 6 months and it looks very old and worn. Both were dark colors. So that’s my speech on how it holds up!

Some people say the cotton tends to stain quicker then the polyester. I am not convinced. My girls are very hard on their clothes and the stains don’t seem to favor one fabric over the other. I will say, the quality of your cotton does make a difference. So we take high quality cotton very seriously.

I use Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater stain remover for most food and ink stains. Fels-Naptha bar works well too. If you have other stains, some have found using a 1:1 ratio of Sodium Percarbonate and Washing Soda (Pure Soda Ash) and soaking works well.

Unfortunately, organic cotton is not cheap to grow and harvest. Also, printing cotton knit uses the most expensive printing equipment. Add that all together and you do have a high end cost.

Its worth it for me though because I feel it lasts at least twice as long as polyester. Also, I feel much better having
